It has become clear to me over the past few years that the time has come for naturopathic doctors to both specialize and to identify themselves as specialists.
My own health struggles began after receiving an experimental vaccination*. Soon after I developed an an infection in my intestine that became an open wound, these types of infections are called fistulas. It was the beginning of a disease called ulcerative colitis. For me the disease meant sudden, urgent bowel movements many times throughout the day and night.
My search for a cure took me to many doctors, the first few years to conventional medical doctors. Then it took me to many other types of healing, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Hands on healing and naturopathic medicine.
When none of that cured my case I decided to go naturopathic medical school myself. It seemed like I went to every naturopathic doctor at my school or recommended by my classmates or professors. It is only in the last two years, after fifteen years as a naturopathic doctor, that I have finally restored my health 100%.
Because the answers when I found them were so profound it truly became clear to me that there is an absolute need for naturopathic specialization.
